Since 1989\, the Walk has raised more than $250 million to help those battling Alzheimer's disease.\n\n	In 2011\, the Alzheimer's Association raised over $42 million nationwide\, with more than $1\,043\,000 contributed by the 15 walks held in Southeast Texas. More than 1\,100 teams and over 10\,000 Texans came out to show support for the Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter last fall!
