5K Run/Walk for Victims

Join us at Pedigo Park to run for victims rights. We encourage all citizens of Polk County to participate in this event. Give victims a voice and show them your support. All proceeds will benefit local nonprofits, CHILDRENZ HAVEN and SAAFE HOUSE ,specializing in victim advocacy and restoration. All monies raised will remain in Polk County to assist numerous victims of violent crimes in the recovery process. Registration for the 5K and Children's run will begin at 7:30 AM, April 24, 2010. The first 100 adult registrants will receive a free T-shirt and the first 25 children will also receive a free Tshirt. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 places. A Balloon release and Remembrance Celebration will begin at 10:00 AM at Caran's Tree in Pedigo Park. Anyone wishing to release a balloon in memory of a loved one or to celebrate the recovery and restoration of someone is encouraged to attend. Balloons will be provided.
