Chef Fest

Dear Prospective Celebrity Chef, Childrenz Haven will host its First Annual Chef Fest event on Saturday April 2, 2022 from 5:30pm-9:30pm at the Polk County Commerce Center and would like to invite YOU to be one of our “Celebrity Chefs” this year. Come showcase your chef skills, eat great food, and help support your local child advocacy center. Each team that enters the cookoff is $100. Each cook is asked to prepare a minimum of 250 (or more) sample-size (3oz.—a taste) servings of their chosen recipe in one of the following categories: 1) appetizer/salad/side, 2) soups/chili, 3) entrées or 4) dessert. We provide chefs with a booth, which we ask that you decorate to your liking (either to go with your recipe and/or showcase your business). We also invite you to attend a Pre-Cook Party on Friday April 1st, 2022 at 6pm. This is a chance for cooks to casually get together and for us to go over some food safety tips, as well as allow you to a chance to assess your space. If you need 3x6 tables let us know in advance or feel free to bring your own. Because of Health Department Regulations, this event is private and we cannot publicize a general invitation to the public. Only 300 tickets are being made available. Let your family and friends know to act fast! Childrenz Haven is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) providing forensic interviews, family advocacy, and therapy to child victims between the ages of 0 to 17 years for: sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, witness to a violent crime, and survivors of child fatality in Polk County. Childrenz Haven provides case tracking, coordination, and facilitation between investigating agencies, medical staff, and prosecution. We appreciate your interest in serving as a celebrity chef and hope you will consider participating in this fun event. It’s for a good cause and is a great opportunity to support your local Child Advocacy Center in providing services to child victims and their non-offending caregivers.
