Childrenz haven's Third Annual Blue Jean Gala

Dear Community Member:

We hope you can attend Childrenz Haven’s Third Annual Gala to support Childrenz Haven, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Polk County. This Blue Jean Gala will be held on the first Thursday in February, February 6, 2014 from 6:30 to 9:30. Come spend the evening with good food, great entertainment and place a bid for your favorite auction items. 

Childrenz Haven is a non-profit organization (our 501(c)(3) letter is attached) that specializes in aiding victims of child physical and sexual abuse while offering a multi-disciplinary approach to investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. In 2009, Childrenz Haven became the 64th CAC Texas, and is working with local law enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office and CPS to build a strong coalition to battle child abuse in Polk County.

We need the community’s help. All children’s advocacy centers in Texas work with their “mother organization”, CACTX. CACTX provides grant money, but each child advocacy center must also raise money through fundraisers. Local funds must be raised from within the community.

Join us for the Blue Jean Gala on February 6, 2014. It will be a fun night to meet those involved in the organization and to support your local community. If you are unable to attend, or if you would rather donate directly to the organization, our goal this fiscal year is to raise $25 per child, for the 10,000 children of Polk County, or $250,000. Any contribution or pledge that you make toward this goal will have a tremendous impact right here in Polk County. We hope to see you at the Blue Jean Gala!
