Pushing the Limits
Livingston Municipal Library will host a free four-part reading, viewing, and discussion series for adults called Pushing the Limits. The series brings together books and video featuring authors, scientists and everyday people who thrive on exploring the natural world. In the first session led by Joel Janssen, a Park Ranger with Texas Parks and Wildlife, we will discuss T. C. Boyle’s “When the Killing’s Done”. We will discuss our thoughts on the book, watch an interview of the author, watch a human interest story, and discuss how it all relates to nature. Ranger Joel has a degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Texas, and has shared his love of the outdoors with visitors to both state and local parks for over 5 years. The series will begin on January 31, 2017 at 6 p.m. and run through April 30, 2017. Receive a free copy of the book when you register. The program is part of a national initiative funded by the National Science Foundation. CONTACT: Luisa, 936-327-4252, lsantiago@livingstonlibrary.net Refreshments will be served.
