Take a tour of the night sky to learn about the stars, constellations, and maybe even view a planet through a telescope! The visible stars and planets change a little each month, so you’ll see new things each time you come to visit!
We recommend bringing a blanket or lawn chair to sit on, binoculars if you have them, and a flashlight to assist with walking back to your campsite or vehicle. 15 pairs of binoculars are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Sky Exploration will take place on the main peninsula accessible from the activity center day use area.
In the case of cloudy skies, we will offer a ½ mile night hike around the peninsula area, meeting at the activity center above the peninsula.
